Supreme Studio in Bangkok has achieved an unprecedented level of success, marking a milestone previously unseen in the city. This success is attributed to the studio’s forward-thinking approach, particularly in embracing Virtual Production as a Service and incorporating a disciplined workflow. In late 2019, Supreme Studio, embarked on a groundbreaking venture to establish the first LED Wall Virtual Production Volume in Thailand. This innovative studio is located at the main stages of Supreme Studio in Bangkok, complementing the existing Performance capture stage and Bolt Cinebot in service.
The initial installation featured a smaller LED Wall measuring 12m x 4m with a curved surface. The studio’s first contract was fulfilled for Academy Award-winning Director Peter Farrelly’s unique period film, “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” (GBRE). This marked a significant opportunity to collaborate with world-class crews and filmmakers.
Following the success of the initial project, Supreme Studio made a strategic decision to triple the size of the LED Volume, creating the expansive Supreme Studio XR Cave. This cutting-edge facility, the largest of its kind in Asia, boasts a 36m x 4m curved ellipse LED Wall with a movable gantry on the ceiling and 8m by 4m of floating positional panels. Supporting this impressive setup are Roe Visuals LED Wall, Brompton Processors, and a professional cluster of PCs with 9 Nvidia RTX A6000 GPUs.
